Today I am going to showcase the conversion of an NLP formulated Ramsey model using Chebyshev polynomials from GAMS to Julia. I'll show a direct translation and then discuss some of the improvements that can be made to make the code more flexible and reusable. I will also share some tips and tricks for using GitHub effectively, especially in the context of collaborative projects like WiNDC.

The magic of WiNDC.jl & MPSGE.jl

Eli Lazarus
September 02, 2025
I am going to present the use of the WiNDC.jl and the MPSGE.jl packages with a research application. My research model uses the WiNDC.jl package to structure and calibrate U.S. national data with custom sector categories fit for my research question. The model is adaptation of an MPSGE.jl version of the WiNDC national model. I will highlight the streamlined process and the key customizations and adaptations. This research characterises and quantifies the economic-emissions-policy interactions between carbon dioxide and methane.
